Christ in the World: Our Outreach
Providence is committed to the Good News of Christ Jesus and entrusted to be a community of disciples living lives shaped by his teaching. As his body, we intentionally nurture the genuine hospitality and personal care that Jesus has modeled for us both locally and worldwide. Providence tithes over 10% of her budget to benevolent giving. Particular ministries on which we are first focusing include:
- Thornwell School for Children
- Montreat (The Presbyterian Conference Center)
- Presbyterian Council for Chaplains and Military Personnel
- Boys and Girls Club of Paulding County
- Relay for Life
- Shepherd’s Rest Ministry (a home for battered and abused women)
- Helping Hand (local food pantry)
- Hurricane Katrina Clean up in Diamondhead, Mississippi
- PDA: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
Providence Presbyterian Church continues to watch for new doors to open as we seek to continue to serve Jesus Christ in our community both local and world wide.
