A Season of Passion

Providence Presbyterian Church would like to invite you to journey with them
during the Season of Lent. We extent a special invitation to join us for
worship on Easter Sunday (March 23). Sunrise Service this year begins at
6:30am.

Committees: How Can I Serve?

Have you felt someone tapping you on the shoulder? Do you have the urge to have an impact on the world? Are you wanting to serve, but you do not know how or where? The mission and purpose of Providence are fulfilled through our ministry teams. The teams vary in tasks, but not in importance.

Fellowship and Nurture - Carol Peterson and Betsy Babb

The Fellowship and Nurture team meets the 1st Sunday every other month at the church after worship. Fellowship and Nurture provide the Providence family comfort, nourishment, and community as we come together. Their ministry varies from a small group ministry to Thursday Night Dinners.

Evangelism and Mission - Mike Pegram

The Evangelism and Mission team meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at the church office. They serve on the front line of the faith by thinking of new ways to reach out to those who are seeking something greater than the individual self. They have also been given the task of ministering to those in need outside our church family.

Worship and Music - John Hinkle, Jr.

The Worship and Music team meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at the church office. This team helps plan and coordinate Sunday morning worship and special events.

Building and Grounds - Rich Hammond

The Building and Grounds team meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00pm at the church office. This team is in charge of the basic maintenance of any church property.

Christian Education - Nina Lauter

The Christian Education team meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. They have been given the task of feeding (spiritually) the minds of both young and old. They help plan and coordinate Sunday School, children's church and nursery. To be on this team does not mean that you have to teach Sunday School, but they need people who are willing to give of themselves for the good of others.

Youth Council - Susan Campbell

This is a team started by our director of youth ministries, Julie Davis. The Youth Council is in charge of planning all youth events. If you are interested in serving on the youth council, please speak to Julie Davis.

Church Choir - Lisa Baty

Lisa Baty and the church choir would love for you to join them for choir practice. If you are the greatest singer of all or you just like humming a happy tune, the choir needs you. Choir practice is every Thursday night at 6:30pm at the church.
